We built a web and mobile ordering platform integrated directly with the restaurant group's Oracle Simphony point-of-sale system, so online orders flow straight into the kitchen without manual re-entry.

Overview

Online ordering had grown faster than the systems supporting it. Each location ran Oracle Simphony at the register, but the online storefront was a separate system entirely — every online order landed in a print queue that a staff member had to key into Simphony by hand, which meant delays and the occasional missed or duplicated order during a dinner rush.

We built the ordering platform to talk to Simphony directly through its API rather than working around it, so an order placed on the web or in the mobile app reaches the kitchen the same way a register order would — no separate queue, no manual step in between. Menu changes, item availability, and pricing stay in sync with what each location’s POS already knows, so managers update one system instead of two.

Because the platform is built on top of Simphony’s existing API rather than a custom integration per site, adding a new location to the group is a configuration change, not a new project.
